Kem Chicks Supermarket
Kem Chicks Supermarket, located in Pacific Place (mall) and Kemang (Jl. Kemang Raya No. 3-5), provides an extensive range of imported products, like American cereals, Afghan nan (naan bread), Hoegaarden (Belgian beer), Australian vegetables and European cheese. They also sell local foodstuffs, like tropical fruits, Kopi Luwak and krupuk (crackers).
Prices of imported products are relatively high (everywhere in Jakarta) and local products are also somewhat more expensive at Kem Chicks than at other supermarkets in Jakarta (like Carrefour and Hypermart), but Kem Chicks is the place to go for expats who are looking for products from their home country.

ReplyDeleteYes, they have stroopwafels and other dutch "cookies", dutch cheese, frozen bitterballen/kroketten and I think they have Grolsch ..and sometimes drop @ Kemchicks Kemang :-) I'm not sure about Dutch chips though...
ReplyDeleteBtw, their bread is also quite similar to Dutch bread (but more like french/german bread).
PS. Kemchicks Kemang has more imported products than Kemchicks Pacific Place. So if you are looking for Dutch products, biggest chance you find them in Kemang.

ReplyDeleteHi Cato Cook, I don't know if they have grade B maple syrup. If it is available in Jakarta, biggest chance it's at Kemchicks or Food Hall Plaza Indonesia. Will let you know if I find it somewhere.
